A cool feature this week would be about the frozen yogurt stores. I think it would be cool to look at all the different frozen yogurt stores and see how they are different from one other. The weather is getting cold and see if their business is going down or still popular among consumers. Also ask people which frozen yogurt store they like the best and if they say that one tastes different from the other.
The latest Harry Potter Movie is coming out this week. Among the movie marathons, reading the books, what other things have people done in preparation? I would like to follow someone through their preparation, midnight costume buying and their thoughts on the final movie(s). Ex: The features office did a movie marathon last weekend. They're making plans for the midnight showing. Several have costumes and the Facebook posts about HP are exploding.
A foreign professor would make a great subject for a profile story. I know one from Germany, and he teaches in the history department. What are his thoughts and American students, compared to German students? How does he feel about Oklahoma politically, socially, environmentally? And, what could Germany learn from Oklahoma, and vice versa?
O'Connells Irish Pub & Grille is a tradition in Norman. Whether students are celebrating their 21st birthday or watching the home game while enjoying a few draft beers, O'Connells has a special place in OU student's hearts. Some of the drinks at this bar have the most ridiculous names and ingredients. An example would be two shots called Ninja Turtle and Buttery Captain. I think it would be a fun story to go talk to the bartenders and see who came up with these drinks and if there are any special drinks dedicated to the holiday season.
With Black Friday coming up I would want to feature a worker in a store that is set to open very early. Ideally, I would want to feature a worker that had to work setting up the day before and then open on Black Friday. I want to show the trials and tribulations and the grueling struggle they go through.
