Cool Feature Idea:Tiki Doll, a local designer in Midwest city, is launching her third collection and holding a runway show on September 25 at Club Fusion in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. I think it would be interesting to interview her and talk about her new collection and how she utilizes other local designers and textiles in her work.
For cool feature idea this week, the American students watching a Japanese Anime in Japanese to practice their Japanese listening skills. It is interesting to observe them watching something that is not in their native language and still understand what is going on in the Anime.
If these books could talk... I would like to do a story of the stacks in the library. I would interview the librarians and the security guards who work there. I would focus on the outrageous claims made about the stacks and the student behavior that occurs there vs. the reality of the stacks.
Football games are a priority for college students. Every week, the football players are the talk around campus. But what about the other fans who don't go to the games but help out during them? People who work at the concession stands or volunteer to make this event run smoothly. I feel like these people tend to be overlooked. I would talk to these people and see why they choose to work/volunteer at games rather than sitting in the stands cheering on with the rest of the fans.
The Cleveland County Fair ended this Saturday. A woman named Pat Sweet sells items she makes in her free time. Her husband has Alzheimer's and to keep him busy, and make up for his paycheck, they make rugs together. I want to do a day in the life of Pat. This woman seemed to have so much fight and a real passion for what she's doing. What surprised me, her "real job," as she calls it, is working for Southwest Airlines on their phones.
