  1. Jessica Tankersley and Kara Blain own a handmade greeting cards business. But they don't see the profits of their business, Cards for Kiva. Entrepreneurs in developing countries see the profits in the form of a microfinance loan. With the help of Kiva, Cards for Kiva has funded over 90 loans to entrepreneurs from the Philippines to Ukraine.

  2. The Arabic House on campus is a perfect place for students to live when they want to immerse themselves in the Middle Eastern culture, any student can live there, even American students who wish to learn more about the Middle East. Through all of the stereotyping of Muslims in America, why do American students choose to live there and enrich them selves in that culture?

  3. Cities have a duty to keep their residents safe. However, sometimes their attempts to fulfill this obligation can have adverse effects with their citizenry.

  4. Although the Americans with Disabilities Act allows disabled American citizens to be hired without discrimination, it is not fool-proof. Co-workers and employers can make the disabled employees so uncomfortable in the workplace, that they are forced to quit. The common American workplace is not welcoming to the disabled. So where does this leave me as I graduate and make my way into the workforce? How am I going to find a job when it seems the odds are stacked against me, and everyone else in my position?

  5. Two OU students learned from their two week long trip that actually doing something is a lot different than just talking about it.

Over the summer, the two students departed from South Central of Oklahoma City and were planning to head to Los Angeles, California on their bicycles. This trip took them two weeks and although their plan was to ride all the way there, this did not happen. At that time, they had no idea how difficult it was going to be.

On the way to Los Angeles, they faced some unexpected situations in which their bikes broke down. As a result, they rode their bicycles to about as far as the border of the state of the New Mexico, and then decided to hitch-hike in order to get to their final destination.
